In Season 1 Episode 13, Daron discusses his general thoughts about Derrick Moore’s book 7 Steps from Addiction to Sobriety. The seven steps he listed in his book were any positive step in the right direction, open your mind to a power outside of yourself, core value lists practice, start learning again, focus on the "The body" and "The mind," do more, and create a daily routine. I also discuss things that surprised me with his book.

Some of the questions that I wanted to ask him but couldnt are “How was your body able to handle heroin, meth, cocaine, crack, ecstasy, and alcohol? Do you think these 7 steps were oversimplified with someone who has a drug addiction? Did you think it was worth it to be indirectly involved in a bank robbery for only six dollars? How did you start being addicted to all of those drugs?” I also state my six steps on overcoming drug addiction from my perspective, which are admit you have a problem, get help with your problem like going to rehab, AA meetings, seek out a counselor for additional support, confide in friends and family, believe in yourself-believe that your change is possible, and finally go to a higher being like God to ask for help.

Derrick Moore grew up in East Anchorage, Alaska and grew up with a single parent who was his mother. He didn't grow up with a religious background. He was indirectly involved in a bank robbery. One of his friends did it. His friend tried to rob the bank for six dollars. Derrick eventually became a drug addict and went to prison for 5 years. He was addicted to heroin, meth, cocaine, ecstasy, and alcohol. He turned his life around by following these 7 steps to overcome his addiction his book titled 7 Steps From Addiction to Sobriety.
