Texas Democrats head to the Rio Grande to check out Abbott's buoys protecting southern border

Democratic Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20) will lead members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and Texas Democratic delegation on a trip to view the border security buoys that Texas Governor Greg Abbott had installed across the Rio Grande which cuts across the southern border of the United States. They are expected to engage with local authorities and community members on the impacts of Operation Lone Star (OLS), which was launched in March of 2021 by Abbott's Texas Indigent Defense Commission.
