But out of all the baby animals in the world, we have to say that baby otters take first prize as the the most adorable of them all! Sorry retriever puppies and kittens. With their fuzzy little faces and the sounds they make, otters both young and adult have the lead roll in oh-so-many viral animal videos online!

To top off on the adorableness, here we have a three-month old baby otter that loves to cuddle up to his owner!

In a video taken last February, we see Cartel the baby otter, all swaddled up in his owner’s shirt. If we didn’t know any better, we would say this is a baby kangaroo. They are cute too, but not THIS cute! Eek!

According to the caption on the original post, this isn’t the only time Cartel has climbed into a ‘bag’ to be closer to his human. "Cartel the otter, not sure whether he's an otter or a kangaroo. Age: 3 months. He often comes to my lap and squeaks as if he's asking me to hold him or comfort him in anyway. Cartel was truly born to be adored by millions of people, he became famous by many of his own videos that we managed to capture."

They might be cuddly and cute, but otters are not to be domesticated and kept as pets. These expert swimmers belong in their natural habitat. However, Cartel’s owner explain that they got the tiny otter from someone who had rescued the pup. Here’s to Cartel’s good life!
