VINTAGE Pinnell & Talifson Kodiak Bear Hunting 1959

Kodiak brown bear hunting! Never before seen by the public! This vintage bear hunting film was taken in 1959 by John Colby while hunting with Bill Pinnell and Morris Talifson, brown bear guides on Kodiak Island. John Colby narrates this video in 1990, which is about the time he gave it to me. John asked me to write a magazine article about the bear hunt, which I did; and in exchange for it, he gave me this video and told me I could use it in any way I liked. He had put the video on a VHS tape in 1990. Of course neither of us had any idea there would be YouTube at the time. I have had it all these years and decided to put it on YouTube as a way to honor John and his dad Colburn, along with Morris Talifson and Bill Pinnell who were quite famous Kodiak brown bear guides.
