Jerome Hatch tells Bare Knuckle News that he was disappointed with the stoppage. He felt the referee's actions were unfair and inconsistent throughout the fight.

"We were going I mean, he caught me a few times, you know what I mean? But it wasn't nothing that was hurting me. You know, I thought it was kind of XYZ!!! that ref's been doing it all the whole time. But like I said, I heard the seconds out. I covered up, was waiting till the round to end. Nothing was being engaged. Nothing was going on. I was, you know. And so that's when they called it. I thought it was complete. So regardless of anything, you know what I mean? Me in there and what I seen when they called seconds out, I just had to put my hands up and was just sitting there waiting. If I had known I would have If I had known I would have kept engaging if I had known he was going to do that. Like I said, it was seven seconds left"

Hatch was so upset he confronted the referee

"I was waiting for the second for the end of the round and then reset and let's get after it. That's all I was doing. I wasn't hurt. So that's why I was pretty upset about it. You made it well known. I let him know that, but it doesn't change the outcome. I think it's like I told him I want a rematch right away. He got one. I want one.

Despite his frustration, Hatch eagerly anticipates the third fight, believing that his power and composure in the ring will ultimately prevail and is determined to defeat Marko Martinjak.
