It was the culture of the time, Greed Is Good, and we institutionalized this envy into a popular television series. Twenty years later, the same spirit manifested as the Real Housewives, Paris Hilton’s Simple Life, The Kardashians, and the like. Even now, this spirit is so much a part of our culture that the word Kardashian didn’t even fail spellcheck when I wrote this show! But where has this lust taken us? And what does it tell us about God?
