A wildfire that broke out in Hays County, Texas, destroyed at least one residence on Saturday, August 5, the Hays County Office of Emergency Management said. A dozen households had been asked to evacuate due to the fire, county officials said. This footage by Wimberly Fire Rescue shows the fire conditions on Saturday. The fire, which had burned 400 acres, was 50 percent contained on Sunday, the Texas A&M Forest Service said. Hays County, was under a red flag warning on Monday, the National Weather Service said.
