Strange sounds from the rocks were heard by a man walking along the shore

A resident of San Francisco went for a jog on the ocean, and at one point he heard strange sounds mixed with a strong wind. It was the muffled barking of a dog-but there were no dogs nearby. The man decided to find the source of the barking, and went to the rocky shore.
