WALKING AND LIVING AS A CHILD OF LIGHT

Just what does it mean to be a child of light? Most of all, what does it mean to walk and live as a child of light? I John 1:7 says that we are to, “walk in the light as He is in the light” and Matthew 5:16 stresses the importance of shining brightly for Him, so that others will see Christ Jesus in us. But sometimes as Kenneth Petersen, this morning's devotional writer states, “we get discouraged, thinking our life testimony is just one little dot in a midnight culture of pitch black”. I am then reminded that I’m not alone in my walk with Christ, because there are countless believers out there who are striving to live lives of honor and integrity for Him. I think that's why the questions from this morning's devotional really encouraged my heart, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray God will encourage you too.

How does it encourage you to know you’re not alone in Christ?

I'd like to share some things that God showed me from His Word through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray it encourages you to be living, walking, and glowing for the savior. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that it challenges as well as motivates you to want to shine for Jesus.

How can you shine brightly with other believers today?

I pray that if you think that you are just “one little dot in a midnight culture of pitch black”, to take comfort in the fact that God is there with you. To take assurance from the Bible, that you are not alone! Remember that as God guides you, He is also guiding others to make a difference and glow a brilliant light. I pray that you will allow God to shine his light in you, every day. Remember, that there's a whole congregation of glow worms out there for Christ, and your part of that, so don't be afraid to shine brightly for Him!
