Psalm 37:31

Just as Jesus quoted scripture to Satan in the wilderness, our greatest weapon against temptations and sin is scripture hidden in our hearts. The more scripture we have tucked away in our hearts, the more ammunition the Holy Spirit can use to push to the forefront of our minds warning us of danger and preventing us from taking that first wrong step.
A soldier when going to battle is given a gun and an ammunition belt, often called a bandolier. A soldier would make sure his bandolier was loaded with bullets before heading out to battle.
