Jeremiah 9:23-24, warns against placing your trust and value on your own acquired wisdom, strength, or riches. The true glory of any man, in God's eyes, is a man who seeks to know God.
He spends time daily learning God's Word, obeying it, and building a strong relationship with his Creator. This man turns to the Lord for wisdom, strength, and financial needs. He seeks guidance and wisdom from God through prayer and then patiently waits for those answers before making decisions. He is a leader each family member respects, trusts, adores, willingly follows, and desires to imitate.
He is not a man who never makes mistakes. But when he fails, he seeks forgiveness and works at becoming a better person.
Have you had this type of good example in your life? A father, a grandfather, brother, friend, or maybe even a female that has influenced you greatly? Take a moment to thank the Lord for putting them into your path. Then determine to be THAT person someone else needs.
It's easy to do. Just come to the fountain overflowing with wisdom, strength and riches beyond compare in the arms of Jesus.
