Russia Attempts Another Wave Of Attacks On Ukraine Airbase Housing Storm Shadow-Firing Su-24MR

Russian carried out three attacks on Khmelnytskyi Oblast, targeting an air base near the town of Starokonstantinov on Aug. 6. Local Ukrainian official Serhiy Tiurin said most of the Russian missiles were downed by the air defence units. One of the attacks caused a fire at a corn waste warehouse on the territory of an elevator and injured an employee. Ukrainian air defences were activated in the oblast’s Khmelnytskyi District. According to reports, the Russian attack on Starokonstantinov was executed in multiple waves. The first wave comprised cruise missiles launched by Tu-95MS bombers and ballistic missiles. Russia’s second wave of attack comprised cruise missiles and Geran-2 drones. Moscow’s final wave of attack comprised Kh-101 long-range stealth cruise missiles.
