Pep Guardiola says Manchester City will fight to keep Kyle Walker with the England defender reportedly mulling a move to Bayern Munich.

Speaking in Tokyo a day before City face Bayern in a pre-season match in the Japanese capital, Guardiola said Walker would be “irreplaceable” should he leave for the Bundesliga champions.

Defender Ruben Dias said he hopes the treble winning Manchester City squad will be able to stay together, but was resigned to the possibility that teammates like Walker and Bernardo Silva, who also has reportedly asked out, might be gone.
