Nightjar Fledgling Chill'n On Road - Close Encounter

A Nightjar is a species of Nighthawk although not a hawk and recently scientists have figured out they're related to hummingbirds. Big insect eaters; the small beak belies a "huge gape" they use to scoop 'em up. Will nest on ground and hang around on ground or low tree branches during the day. This guy appears to be a fledgling just figuring things out. Very similar behavior to the slew of young Robins, usually met as they themselves are standing around on the ground looking confused.
