Wild Goose Qi Gong with Paul Li ( 7 15 91)
Dr. Paul Li leads a class in Qi Gong at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, New York back in the Summer of '91.. This is rare archival footage of the Master in action as a younger man.
For centuries, Qi Gong was passed down in secret from master to disciple. After the cultural revolution, however, such traditions were bro--er, updated.
Dayan Qigong forms an integral part of both traditional and modern Chinese medicine. It is now increasingly being offered as an adjunct to standard Western medical treatments, and can be helpful for pain management, strengthening the immune system, and a variety of medical illnesses such as headaches, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, arthritis, GI problems, and fibromyalgia. Once learned, benefits can occur from practicing Dayan Qigong in as little as 15 minutes a day.
"How long does it take to learn?" you might ask. Think of at least 4 months of regular practice...
And why the name, "Wild Goose?" It is well known for its lovely and graceful movements that suggest an innocent and carefree wild goose. It can be freeing and fun..
