A Much-Needed Breather / Day 17 Highwood Montana Wheat Harvest (August 5)

We woke up to the sound of rain hitting the roof. A welcome sound, for sure.

I know receiving moisture during harvest is not ideal. But I think we were all ready for a little time away from the fields.

And this rain will help ripen the green spring wheat.

This morning, Carol and I made a trip to Sam’s and the grocery store. Lunch at “Wheat Montana” and a visit to a Lewis and Clark point of interest.

Later, we headed back to Great Falls for Howard’s Pizza and trip to the Ryan Dam.
