Homemade SlowCooker Sloppy Joes | Low in Sugar and High in Flavor
These are hands down the BEST Sloppy Joes I've EVER had. Probably because everything was made from scratch! 2 tsp canola or avocado or olive oil
3 pounds lean ground turkey
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
3 cups no sugar added ketchup (see no sugar ketchup recipe)
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3 tbsp spicy brown mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
12 hamburger buns, split (see recipe below)
Optional: Coleslaw and dill pickles (see Cole slaw recipes below)

1 large onion, chopped
3 28-oz cans plum tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
3 cinnamon sticks (3 inches each)
2 1/4 tsp celery seed
1 1/2 tsp mustard seed
3/4 tsp whole allspice
2 1/4 tsp kosher salt
3/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
