Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou played down Bayern Munich's alleged deadline set over the weekend to accept their third offer for Harry Kane.

Postecoglou was speaking after watching his star striker and captain score four times in a 5-1 win at home to Shakhtar Donetsk in Spurs' penultimate friendly ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

Bayern have believed to have offered Tottenham a reported 100 million euros deal for Kane with a deadline over the weekend to get the deal for the striker finalised.

Postecoglou insisted that the only deadline that concerns him will be the end of the summer window on September 1 meaning Kane is currently in line to start the season opener away to Brentford on Saturday.
