How Fire Is Saving Endangered Species In Australian Forests With Initiated Shaman Shane McLeay

In this video I'm in the Australian bush only a few kilometres from my home where an endangered orchid is found. This orchid only exists within approximately 70 kilometres of my home. I'm on a controlled burn with Kristian and Kerrie Guppy who I mentor and they specialise in restoring native Australian ecosystems and on this very sensitive project they are using fire in a controlled burn using traditional aboriginal techniques to help the plight of this rare and critically endangered species while maintaining other critical habitat and assets within the burn zone.
