DC and Warner Bros are not in the best position at the moment. Barbie has officially passed a billion dollars at the global box office but even that isn't enough to save them from their debt.

We recently had The Flash movie which had Michael Keaton's Batman in it and even that wasn't enough for the film to break even, DC is in serious trouble and James Gunn knows this, he has hinted that this character may be scrapped going forward if Blue Beetle turns out to be a box office flop.

It turns out that if you are like the director, Angel Manuel Soto and you attack the fans on social media, then you are probably going to lose a big chunk of your potential audience.

Either way, James Gunn has a very serious job on his hands, he announced that David Corenswet will be his Superman in the upcoming 2025 movie Superman: Legacy and if that doesn't perform well then his DCU reboot is finished right there and then.
