Russian Air Force government plane Ilyushin Il-62M arrived at Sunan Pyongyang Airport from Moscow

Japanese media are reporting that five days after Russian Defense Minister Shoigu's visit to North Korea, a Russian Air Force government passenger plane Ilyushin Il-62M arrived at Sunan Pyongyang Airport from Moscow.

The plane landed on the morning of August 1st and returned back in the afternoon of the 2nd.

The purpose of this visit and its passengers are not reported. However, it is speculated that it could be a senior Russian military official who has turned up for labor negotiations as part of a possible cooperation deal between the countries.
