World remembers Hiroshima atomic bombing 78 years after tragedy

Today marks the 78th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. A special event was held at the city’s Peace Memorial Park to commemorate the tragedy. It was attended by high-level officials and included a flower-laying ceremony and solemn speeches. But there was no mention of US responsibility. Instead, Japan’s prime minister took aim at Russia, for the nuclear threat he said it poses to the world.
