NFL OG Falcons Defense Blows Up Dallas QB

The Year was 1990, the final week of the regular season. 2nd year Dallas QB Troy Aikman was out with an injury, but Dallas would make the playoffs with a win. The Atlanta Falcons, with their season dashed by injuries on offense, were down to 3rd string QB Hugh Millen. With nothing to lose, the Falcons were determined to play spoiler and threw everything but the kitchen sink at Dallas’ backup QB.

Atlanta broke out the Gritz Blitz made famous by their new head coach Jerry Glanville. Here are back to back blitzes that the Dallas offensive line simply couldn’t block. Atlanta would win the game 26-7, knocking Dallas out of the playoff race and vaulting their rivals the New Orleans Saints in.
