Twitch streamer Kai Cenat found himself in legal trouble after allegedly "encouraging" a mob of young fans to gather at Union Square Park, resulting in chaos. The influencer, boasting a massive following of over 20 million, was issued a desk appearance ticket on Friday night and was released from a Manhattan precinct without spending time in custody.

NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey revealed that Cenat was expected to face charges of inciting a riot and unlawful assembly in connection to the tumultuous events that occurred on Friday afternoon. However, it remains unclear whether these charges were officially filed.

The 21-year-old streamer left the 19th Precinct on the Upper East Side early Saturday morning and quickly departed in a waiting black SUV without addressing the media. As of now, Cenat awaits further developments in his case following the issuance of the desk appearance ticket.
