After researching for our new Doctor Moreau video, I found a very bizarre story involving an old Christian legend named "The Miracle of the Transplantation of the Black Leg".

This is described by Jacobus de Voragine in the 1275 Legenda Aurea.

Interestingly this serves as evidence for ancient lost surgical techniques that were perhaps shrouded in secrecy?
