Today’s Question: Is Satan really a Liar?

Had a strange thought this weak. Did Satan ever flat out lie in the bible? or did he just bend the life out of the truth? Here is what i mean.
A few years back i saw a show called Lucifer. To NO ONES surprise its about the devil. He helps a detective hunt criminals. I find that amusing but my point slash question comes from something he said in one of his speeches' about how he works. He caught a bad guy in a lie and said "you see that’s exactly why I don’t lie, its hard to keep your stories straight and then you second guess yourself and others second guess you, and you get stuck, and caught." Or something like that. So I though thought that makes perfect sense there is NO WAY that is biblically accurate. Satan is called the father of lies for a reason. So I looked at the bible to see who was right. Low and behold the devil's first words were "Did God really say that?" to Eve. He never said "God lied to you that wont happen ever." That would have been a flat out lie and he would have been for lack of a better word busted. Instead he played on what Eve desired that was to be like god. So he didn’t like flat out but rather bent the life and soul out of the truth to the point where a pretzel factory would blush. There were no other spots in the bible I could find where he lies but every time he talks he seems to make us second guess ourselves, and God. But he does tempt us away from God. So what does the bible say? Does he just bend the life out of the truth (though I admit that is a lie) or just tempt us?
