Railfanning at Grand Central Terminal (R1) featuring the Long Island & Metro North Railroads

Recorded on 8/4/23. Last summer, I brought William down to Grand Central since he had not seen the new Long Island Railroad terminal yet. BJ Blue Shadow Transit joins us as well. The action is a little different here this time because it was a weekday so Far Rockaway trains were going through here instead of the Long Beach Branch. The Long Beach Branch operates through here on weekdays but only during peak direction of each peak hour which we were not here for. On the way out from Forest Hills we did catch the one singular outbound train to West Hempstead that operates out of here on weekdays only. We also feature some Metro North trains in this video.
