Woman Detained After Airport Meltdown

Occurred on July 5, 2023 / Santa Ana, California, USA

Info from Licensor: "I was flying out of John Wayne Airport and was having dinner before a redeye flight I initially heard somebody screaming and ranting. She walked by yelling something and then threw crushed reading glasses at us and yelled 'enjoy your wine!'

About 20 min later she came running back from the other direction with airport security in tow. She ran in between the lady in orange and my girlfriend and grabbed our water and asked if she could have it, and pretended like nothing happened. I assume it was to try and act like she evaded the security.

Security came and asked her to come walk with them and she refused. When she was asked to again, the lady in orange, who was trying to help the police, offered to walk with her. At that point, she grabbed the lady in orange and created a hostage situation, which is why the police then had to grab her. Amalia also was asking people to film."
