How Beijing handles typhoon Doksuri exemplifies the CCP’s “institutional advantage.”

The deadly typhoon Doksuri swept through China, causing tremendous flooding. The most fatal disaster is not caused by mother nature but by a human decision. To protect Beijing and the new capital city Xiong’An, one small city in Hebei has been stranded in the water for days. And the authorities are telling people they might be stuck in water for a month. Beijing’s ability to handle disaster relief is displayed to the world. It has proved again that the CCP's “institutional advantage” is a synonym for human misery and unnatural disasters.
