Gravitas: The Games are over. So is the Commonwealth

Canada's Alberta has cancelled its bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth games. This comes weeks after Australia's Victoria withdrew its bid to host the 2026 games. Why should countries sponsor the nonsensical hangover of British Imperialism? The Commonwealth games are as stale as yesterday's cucumber sandwich. Time for India to dump the Commonwealth?
