How to Protect Gemstones from Heat when Soldering

In this video I show you the simple way us professional jewellers work on rings set with heat sensitive stones.
You do not need any expensive or special heat proof substances.
This technique is tried and tested many times over many years and has never let me down.
Before working on jewellery its essential you have at least some basic knowledge of precious gemstones and how they may react to heat, acid, shock, ultrasonicing etc to avoid causing accidental damage.
