In 2022, a fight in Las Vegas resulted in the suspension of New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Indianapolis Colts cornerback Chris Lammons for the first three games of the season. However, both players are allowed to participate in the preseason and can return to the active roster on Monday, Sept. 25.

The Cincinnati Bengals reached an agreement with linebacker Logan Wilson on a four-year contract valued at up to $37.25 million. Wilson is the first member of the team's 2020 draft class to sign a new deal.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys have been securing their secondary by signing safety Malik Hooker to a three-year extension until 2026, with a maximum value of $24 million. Additionally, on the first day of training camp, they signed Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs to a lucrative five-year extension worth $97 million, including $42.3 million guaranteed.
