‘The Office’ actor Leslie David Baker to refund Kickstarter donations for ‘Uncle Stan’ spinoff

Actor Leslie David Baker, known for playing Stanley Hudson on “The Office,” announced in a post to Instagram Friday that he is returning the Kickstarter donations fans raised to help fund his “Stanley” spinoff series. Announced in 2020, Baker said the new series would be called “Uncle Stan” and follow Stanley’s life in retirement in Florida. Baker cited the pandemic and ongoing Hollywood strikes as the reason for axing the project; $110,629.81 will be returned to fans over the next few weeks.
