U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 273, Marine Air Control Group (MACG) 28 participate in a Aviation Ground Support Leaders Course (AGSLC) at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina, June 26, 2023. The AGSLC provided a baseline of knowledge to squadron leadership regarding the six activities of aviation ground support. The six activities include forward aviation combat engineering, airfield operations, forward arming and refueling, base recovery after attack, airfield damage repair, and aircraft salvage and recovery. The AGSLC was in support of MWSS-273’s mission to provide limited aviation ground support to enable a composite Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) and supporting or attached elements of the Marine Air Control Group to conduct expeditionary operations.
