Training Goal:

The goal of this training is to teach your 8-week-old Golden Retriever puppy the "SIT" command. This is a basic command that all dogs should know, and it will be helpful for training other commands in the future.

Training Materials:

A few high-value treats, such as bits of cooked chicken or cheese
A clicker (optional)
A quiet place to train
Training Steps:

Start by getting your puppy's attention. You can do this by saying their name in a high-pitched voice, or by making a clicking noise with a clicker (if you are using one).
Once you have your puppy's attention, hold a treat in front of their nose.
Slowly move the treat up and over their head. As they follow the treat with their nose, their bottom will naturally start to lower.
When their bottom touches the ground, say "SIT" and give them the treat.
Repeat steps 2-4 several times.
Once your puppy is consistently sitting when you say "SIT", you can start to add a hand signal. To do this, hold your hand out in front of your puppy with your palm facing down. As you say "SIT", bring your hand down towards the ground.
Repeat steps 5-6 until your puppy is consistently sitting when you give them the hand signal.
Tips:

Be patient and consistent with your training. It may take some time for your puppy to learn the "SIT" command, but with patience and consistency, they will eventually get it.
Use high-value treats that your puppy really loves. This will help them to stay motivated during training.
If your puppy gets distracted, take a break and try again later. Don't try to force them to learn the command if they are not paying attention.
Make sure to praise your puppy when they do the "SIT" command correctly. This will help them to associate the command with a positive experience.
With patience and consistency, you will be able to teach your 8-week-old Golden Retriever puppy the "SIT" command in no time!
