Jeff Maurer is a multiple Emmy-winning comedian known for his work on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and his Substack, I Might Be Wrong. He spent his 20s as a speechwriter and stand-up comic in Washington, DC, which led to being hired on Last Week Tonight, where he spent six seasons and was promoted to Senior Writer. He has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slow Boring, Persuasion, and numerous other publications. Monty Python's Eric Idle once called his work "hilarious", which is all the validation he needs in this lifetime.

Thomas is an award-winning writer and a one-man think tank. He is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and the author of Losing My Cool & Self-Portrait in Black & White. He has also received fellowships and support from prestigious organisation, including the Guggenheim Foundation, AEI and New America.
