Book 2 of the GCH Guitar Academy fingerstyle guitar course is obviously a continues on after Book 1, if you are starting from scratch I would recommend you following the link above and guitar through the guitar lessons in the first book.

This fingerstyle guitar lesson is part of a guitar course that teaches you how to play the guitar fingerpicking style, and whilst fingerstyle is most commonly used on acoustic guitars you can also play this style with electric guitar. Hopefully if you watch each of the guitar lessons in this course and practice what you are learning you will become an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist.

Finger picking style guitar is used in virtually all styles of music and therefore is really useful to learn. Whilst finger picking guitar is most associated with acoustic guitar you don't need to learn fingerpicking guitar on an acoustic guitar as it can sound just as good on an electric guitar. Fingerstyle guitar is used in classical guitar, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, jazz and virtually any style of guitar you can mention.

This is part of a series of carefully designed progressive lessons that will carry you through from an absolute beginner on the guitar to a good level of proficiency in fingerstyle guitar. The GCH Guitar Academy guitar lessons are published to YouTube on a weekly basis just as if you were having private lessons but with the advantage of having the guitar lessons exactly when and where you want them. This gives you time to practise the lessons on your guitar between lessons so that you get the most from each guitar tutorial and achieve your goals as a guitar player.
