Google celebrated cat-eye frame designer Altina Schinasi's 116 birthday with a Doodle. The internet giant displayed the iconic 'Harlequin eyeglass' frame. Altina Schinasi was born on august 4, 1907. Schinasi was an American sculptor, filmmaker, entrepreneur, window dresser, designer and inventor. Schinasi's mother was a native of Salonica and her father was a Sephardic Jewish Turk. She studied art at The Art Students League in New York.
