LIVE: Outside Federal Court as Trump faces prosecutors in latest indictment

Live outside the E. Barrett Prettyman US District Court House in Washington, DC ahead of Donald Trump’s initial appearance on Thursday, August 3 after the former president was indicted over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Prosecutors are expected to outline four conspiracy and obstruction counts, while the judge will set bail conditions in the third criminal case involving Trump.

The former president was indicted on Tuesday, as a grand jury decided to prosecute him on four counts related to the 2020 election and his alleged role in the January 6 Capitol attack.

Trump has strongly denied any wrongdoing, and has claimed all charges against him are politically motivated.
