The reason for Israel possessing the land is not because of their righteousness. It is the unrighteousness of the Canaanites that is the problem. Elohim is doing this ONLY because He is faithful to His promise and covenant that He made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Exod. 32:13, Ezek. 20:13-14, Romans 3:1-4).

This is an important fact we need to remember! Elohim did not choose you or I based upon our righteousness, our good looks, or our personable charm. He chose us because He is faithful to His promise that He made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
