Trails in the Sky the 3rd: Overcoming Your Demons and Moving Forward - Story Analysis and Review

Welcome to my story analysis and review of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd! Developed by Nihon Falcom and originally released in 2007, Trails in the Sky the 3rd is the sequel to Trails in the Sky SC, taking place six months after that game. This time around, the protagonists are Kevin Graham, a returning character from Sky SC and Ries Argent, a brand new character to the series. Estelle and Joshua Bright, along with all of the other characters from the previous two games are in this game, but they aren't the main focus like they were in Sky FC and SC. All spoilers are on the table for this video, so if you haven't played the Trails in the Sky trilogy, you may want to bookmark this video and come back to it after you have played them all. I absolutely loved this game and consider it to be the best in the Sky trilogy. Trails in the Sky the 3rd tells an incredible story that revolves around how people cope with their grief while also learning how to move forward in life. It hit me in a way that very few games have been able to do and even now, a month after completing the game, I find myself thinking about specific moments, listening to the soundtrack, and looking back at the screenshots that I took.
