Neck Ropes!

Neck ropes are an amazing training aid both for the horse and the rider. Not only do neck ropes show transparency in the communication between a rider and a horse, but it also shows the relationship and trust between the pair. Of course, that does not discount the fact that riders need to take some time to figure out how to effectively communicate with a neck rope and their natural aids.

In addition to being a great training aid (for the horse as well as the rider), they also make great 'grab straps' in the events such as learning jumping position, 'oh crap' moments, horse swimming, mounted archery, and more!

I highly recommend neck ropes and that riders work them into their regular riding routine where they can to mix things up and challenge themselves (=
