Preparing to be the best dad ever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
These are my honest and raw thoughts, while expecting our first child. I've been feeling very motivated, knowing we've got a little one on the way. I can get lost in my ambition. I'm trying to be mindful, but there are important moments when I'm not paying attention. My mind is very busy.
It feels like a time limit has kicked in. Rushing doesn't help. In fact, it is the opposite to what is needed. I'd like to forget about time limits.
Maybe I've been avoiding the reality of having a baby, by keeping myself so busy.
I've wanted kids for years, but I kept telling myself I wasn't ready. I was scared I would mess up my kids if I was still messed up. I just kept working on myself. I've probably been ready for a while, but I kept avoiding the possibility.
