How I Pick A Sweet Watermelon 🍉 & How I Cut It Up

Hey Guy’s! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video I’m going to show you How I Pick A Sweet Watermelon 🍉 & How I Cut It Up!
We are in the middle of watermelon 🍉 season and I am a true watermelon lover. I could eat a whole one by myself as long as it’s cold and sweet.
These are the tips that I use when I’m shopping for my watermelon.

#1 Look for a round watermelon! Oblong is good too but I like the round ones better!
#2 Make sure that the lines on the watermelon are not close together. If the natural lines are close this means that it’s young and hasn’t matured to develop sweetness yet.
#3 Look at the stems and make sure that they are brown which indicates ripeness. If the stem has fallen off then look at where it was and make sure it’s brown, not green.
#4 Look for black marking on the watermelon. This indicates that it’s sweet. Those are sugar lines.
#5 Lastly look for the yellow patch on the bottom. This is where it has rested on the ground. This area should be a medium yellow shade. A white bottle let’s you know that it was picked to early and it might not be sweet.
Mash the yellow spot with your thumbs to make sure that it’s firm and that it doesn’t mash in. This area shouldn’t be soft. If it is it’s overripe and it will be mellow and soft inside. Do not buy that one.
