Roadtrip with Mom ☀️🏖️⚓️- Heading Home

Taking the long way home!

We spent an additional 2 days in Chesapeake, VA visiting my cousin and his family before heading back to Ohio. We had some catching up to do, a toast to be made (his retirement from the Navy), treated with a tour of the Norfolk Naval Base and the same class sub he served on.

The journey home always feels like it’s longer. We left in the rain and came back to the rain. It’s Ohio. It’s normal.
