Tara Lee Rodas has been a public servant for more than 20 years, 17 of which have been dedicated to serving the Federal Inspector General (IG) community. She has a master’s degree in education and is a graduate of American University’s Key Executive Leadership Program. She also has a Master of Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. She serves the global learning community by (1) participating in the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Forum and (2) facilitating learning events at ATD’s International Conferences & EXPO. In 2021, Tara answered the humanitarian call from OPM to support the US Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) urgent efforts to care for and place children entering the US via the southern border with sponsors in the US. While serving with HHS’ Unaccompanied Children (UC) Program, she distinguished herself as a Subject Matter Expert on “red flags” for sponsor fraud and child trafficking. As a result, she was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Federal Case Management Team in the Case Management Room at the Pomona Fairplex Emergency Intake Site (EIS) in Pomona, California. Tara lives in Virginia with her husband, Jorge Rodas, who is from El Salvador.
