All-clear issued at US Capitol after no evidence of gunman found at Senate building

No evidence of a gunman or injuries was discovered on Capitol Hill Wednesday after an active shooter situation prompted a lockdown of several government buildings. A spokesperson for the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department said law enforcement was “unable to substantiate” the 911 call that came in at 2:30 p.m. reporting an active shooter near the Senate Office buildings.
