Chronological Bible in a Year 2023 - August 2, Day 214 - 2 Kings 20-21

Welcome to Day 214, August 2nd, 2023. We read Hezekiah's prayer to the Lord for healing from his sickness, which is granted. We read of envoys from Babylon coming to Hezekiah and Hezekiah shows them all the treasures. The prophet Isaiah shows tells Hezekiah because he showed them, Babylon would secure all the wealth that was shown along with some of King Hezekiah sons. Manasseh reigns in Judah after Hezekiah and makes idols and false worship and goes in the opposite way Hezekiah had went. His son Amon reigns after him and does the same and angers the Lord. His son Josiah takes over after him.
