Part 4 will take you from the park back to Douro river. You will visit an abandoned mill built on the running stream.

Despite its botanical significance, the park is open for archaeological fieldwork. The spatial arrangement of this new green space is peculiar, as it is based on terraces. The higher you climb, the more enchanting the landscape becomes over the Douro River that flows below. The species that visitors find are mainly ash trees, cork oaks, gilbard and, among others, several native oaks. In the shade of the strawberry trees, there are also several endemic species, such as the endemic plant from Northern Portugal called Omphalodes nitida.
