Camstudio: How I (Used to) Record PC Games & The Desktop (Read Description)

This video is NOT for technical help. You're on your own for that because I did not make the program. Also, watch this video with annotations set to on if they are off.

Experimentation is the key to finding what settings will work best for you. This is just what I use.

Annotation update/correction corner:
1:20 I forgot. I also click the "swf" button here to change it to record in AVI. Why? Because that file format is easier to edit.
2:05 Needless to say, I have a mic plugged in. The way I get game sounds and my voice in at the same time is to have the mic near the speakers so it picks up the sound and my voice. Volume is the key to audio balance.
2:54 I forgot, you can't set these without unticking the "Auto Adjust box.
6:20 Your file size will vary depending on what you record. Experimentation for how long you can record at a time is key!
6:28 Correction, I now can do 2GB for some reason. o_O

Reminders:
Your computer will likely not be able to handle full-screen recording smoothly.

I always "Record to AVI".
